1.                  Call to Order:

                  Meeting was called to order at 6:40 pm by Donna Goodrich.

 

2.                  Approval of Minutes: May 5, 2005                   

                  Item 9: Strike out word “Maybe”                 

                  Motion was made by Mike Waddell to accept as amended.

                  Motion was second by Charles Brown to accept as amended.

                  ALL IN FAVOR—Motion PASSED

 

3.                  Communications/Written

                    Waiting to hear from building committee

 

4.                  Public Comments

                     Chad—Article for paper:  Interested in those individuals that                              are running for the Cooperative School board.

 

5.                  Communications—Staff or Guest Presenters

                  None

 

6.                  Organizational Meeting Planning

                        Church parking lot available and all set

                        Gorham Police Department support all set

                        Gorham Fire Department support all set

                        Child care all set—Lynn Hunt, 2 teachers from Berlin, and                                                              National Honor Student Volunteers

                        Shuttle bus all set with Recreation Dept.  Dave Goyette just                                                needs to supply name of driver to Mitch

                  EMS person will be available that evening

                  Food & Beverage will be handled by junior class per Keith                                                            Parent and set-up in foyer

                  Handicap Parking has been addressed

                  Direct any and all questions to the SAU 20 office

 

7.                  Gymnasium walk-through

                  Supervisor of Checklist walk-through/gymnasium went very well

                  David Goyette will provide a schematic sketch of gym floor layout plan

                  Greeting Table

                  3 tables for supervisors of checklist

                  Moderator’s podium in center

                  3 check-out tables for supervisors/ballot clerks

                  1 table for voting boxes

                  Chairs will be set-up on gym floor

                  Food & Beverage in foyer

                  Restrooms in foyer

                  Voting cards

                  Flip charts to post out comes

                  Bleachers will be pulled out

                  No classes in the gym that day

 

8.                  Legal Opinion

                  Candidate Qualifications (those presently employed by SAU 20)

                  Individuals do not have to be present to be nominated

                  The names of the schools do not need to be same as the school                                                      districts

9.                  Building Name Selection Process

Selecting the top 12 after student voting—Keith Parent will send out to students, then get those voting forms to Donna Goodrich for tabulations for those top 12 names

 

10.              Other

Wendy Niskanen brought up the point of “closure” with this Cooperative School board and passing on to the new Cooperative School Board.  Members were in favor of this idea.          E-mail any ideas, suggestions, or task to Wendy N.
