1.                 Call to Order:

              Meeting was called to order at 6:40 pm by Donna Goodrich.

 

2.                 Approval of Minutes: April 20th, 2005

             

              Motion was made by Carol Gagnon to accept as presented.

              Motion was second by Charles Brown to accept as presented.

              ALL IN FAVOR—Motion PASSED

 

3.                 Communications/Written

a.                 Nepotism policy – conflict of interest.  Second opinion concurs with the first; the spouse of a district employee can run and gain election to the Board.

 

4.                 Public Comments

                        None

 

 

5.                 Communications—staff or guests

                             None

 

6.                 Organizational Meeting Planning

                        Church parking lots availability—Okay

                        Gorham Police Dept. Support—Okay

                        Child care—all set to go with Lynn Hunt and volunteers

Food & Beverage—Keith will check with groups interested in fundraising for this activity

                        Signs—to be made up by GMHS students

                             Voting booths—pending

                             Shuttle Bus availability—not sure at present time, possibility                          of Recreation Department’s transportation van.

                        Other—Voting ballots will be coming out of the SAU #20                             Office

 

7.                 Informational Flier

                             To be mailed out by May 13th, 2005 in time for the May 19th,                         2005 Cooperative school board meeting.

                             Detail specifics about the evening—finalize content of fliers

                             Simplify the out going flier to the public

                             Plan and complete mailings with possibility of employing                     Seventh Street Graphics or other local printer for the                              folding and stapling of fliers

 

8.                 Legal Opinion updates

                        Legislature appears to be all set to pass for 5/11/05

 

9.                 Building Name Selection Process

                        Maybe send back to students to choose only three possible                           names from present selection and tally up top names for a final                            vote to choose a district name only
