1.                 Call to Order:

              Meeting was called to order at 6:40 pm by Donna Goodrich.

 

2.                 Approval of Minutes: March 24, 2005 and April 20, 2005

              Section 6 line C—Change to starting with Gorham policies the

              cooperative school board can amend and accept the policy as

              written.

 

              Motion was made by Wendy Niskanen to accept as corrected.

              Motion was second by Carol Gagnon to accept as corrected.

              ALL IN FAVOR—Motion PASSED

 

              Section 4 line J—needed to be corrected.

              Motion was made by Wendy Niskanen to accept as corrected.

              Motion was second by David Carlisle to accept as corrected.

                       ALL IN FAVOR—Motion PASSED.

 

3.                 Communications/Written

a.                 Certificate—meeting tonight to accept new cooperative.

b.                 Waiting till new name is chosen for school and cooperative

c.                 Information on how organizational meeting will run—possible general mailing to the public.

d.                 E-mail draft to all three school boards in regards to warrants and budgets.

e.                 There are over 100 choices for a new school name that have been submitted.

6.                 Logistics

                             Organizational Meeting 5/25/05

                             Mass confusion—clear up the confusion

                             Concerns on ballot counting

                             How to keep the general public occupied while ballots

                             are being counted?

                             Need to have enough ballots clerks’ on-hand to count

                             GPD—blocking off specific areas for public parking

                             Individual volunteers to help with activities

                             Door greeters with informational handouts.

                             Refreshments available to purchase (fund raiser)

                             Need more research/check list

                        Nepotism

                        Constituents:

                                  Can a Gorham resident nominate a Randolph resident?

                                  Can a Shelburne resident nominate a Gorham resident?

                        Working relationships amongst the three communities

9.                 Building Committee update

                        Compile a transition report for May 3, 2005

                        When to transition building committee—Gorham

                        Building Committee has been very respectful

 

10.            “Name” update

                        Over 100 names have been submitted for review

                        Involved both students and parents

                        Compile a list of names to avoid duplications

                        List of names will be voted on

 

11.            Operating Budget Review

                             None

 

12.            Other

                        Informational meeting for those candidates interested in                                 running for the cooperative school board.

                        All three school boards meeting—

                                  Possibly May 14th, 2005 10am to 12pm (Saturday)

                        Getting necessary information together

                        Items new cooperative school board has to be aware

                        SAU #20 board issues

                        Off-site summit with all three school boards
