Ed
Fenn School Year Highlights
Throughout this school year the students, staff and parents have worked hard to continuously provide proof of being one of the finest
elementary schools in New Hampshire.
Curriculum work is ongoing through the years as we continue to provide students with an education that matches with the State of New
Hampshire Grade Level Expectations. Our statewide assessment scores, as well as NWEA MAP scores prove our efforts. Overall, our
students clearly exceed the norm.
Ingrid Graff, our School Librarian was named the librarian of the year as she was awarded the NHEMA Excellence in Library Services
Award at the Mount Washington Hotel in May. A short time later, Barbara Young-Hoffman, the District School Psychologist, was named
the school psychologist of the year at the annual EDies Awards in Manchester, New Hampshire.
In addition to an outstanding academic program, we are committed to bringing a variety of artistic, cultural and fun activities to
the students of our school. Some examples of our efforts include visits from storyteller Tom McCabe and author Kevin Hawkes, as well
as musical performances by Kinderkonzerts and Two Fiddles.
Annual events such as Read Across America and Community Service Day were also quite productive.and a whole lot of fun. We also added
a school-wide field day this year, held at Libby.s Field in order to promote school-wide fun and camaraderie. Students enjoyed many
traditional field day activities as well as a barbecue hosted by Café Services.
It has been another wonderfully rewarding year here at Edward Fenn Elementary School. There were many, many great successes to be
celebrated. Our highly qualified and committed staff looks forward to the upcoming year.
