Three kinds of GHS Alumni will receive Alma
Matters this year. You will want to be one of them.
The
Gorham, Randolph, Shelburne Education Foundation (GRSEF) subscription
plan for its popular Gorham High School Alumni magazine, Alma
Matters, worked so well last year that we're going to do
it again. Our maximum press run this year will be just 900 copies,
of which 700 will be mailed out to GHS alumni who will qualify as
GRSEF members.
You will want to be one of the GHS Alumni who receive the 48-page
magazine packed with Class Notes, news about friends, and stories
about the people and places who have made Gorham our place forever.
The Faithful Giver
All alumni who have donated to GRSEF a total of at least $25 over
the last five years automatically get placed on the Alma
Matters mailing list. Fewer than 200 of 2200 GHS alumni
fall into this category. Of course, anyone who makes a contribution
of at least $10 to the GRSEF Third Century Fund, which has reached its minimum goal value of $100,000,
also becomes a donor member and a recipient of Alma Matters.
The Subscriber
All alumni who mail in a membership fee of at least $10 are placed
on the Alma Matters mailing list. The membership
fee is tax-deductible, as are all donations.
Young alumni
All alumni whose GHS diplomas are four years old or younger will
receive the magazine free of charge. These are alunmi who need to
become aware of Alma Matters before they can
become faithful givers. After four years, they will be asked to
become subscribers.
There is good news in all of this: the membership dues are tax
deductible. But the absolute best news is the Class Notes and other
news in your Alma Matters 2004, which is being
written and designed at this very moment.
Don't miss a word of it:
Return the membership/subscription
form by March 1, 2004.
